RED HOOD
I started with a scan on the previous Red-Hood project and broke the muscle groups down into plates to best help movement while still looking strong. Then, I sculpted the forms to be more angular and added panel lines to match the armored design. The armor pieces were then 3D printed and body-shopped to a mirror finish. Silicone molds of the pieces were made and cast out in various urethane rubbers and semi-rigid plastics. They were then trimmed, patched, and metalized using Imperiflex and Alumiluster to create a flexible mirror chrome. Layers of color were then added using acrylic and alcohol paints/dyes to achieve an aged metallic finish.
