SIILENCE

CONCEPT: This piece is intended to create a discussion of the idea of artistic block within the artist as well as artistic censorship within the creative community. The gold needle which spans this piece, both constricts the tongue and mind of the disembodied head which this piece centers around. It is fully, and inseparably, tied to the tongue and voice of the artist yet forced into the mind of them. To remove the lobotomizing pain of the mind the voice of the person must also be removed, eliminating the purpose of the person from within the composition entirely.
